-
Standard Catering Events: 10 days prior to the event.
-
Wedding Catering: 30 days prior to the event.
3. Cancellations and Refunds
We understand that plans change, but preparation for large events begins well in advance.
-
Standard Catering: If a cancellation occurs less than one week (7 days) before the scheduled event, the deposit becomes strictly non-refundable.
-
Weddings: Due to the extensive planning and calendar blocking required for weddings, all wedding deposits are strictly non-refundable upon booking.
-
Force Majeure (Acts of God): In the event that your function cannot take place due to extreme weather, public health pandemics, or government-mandated shutdowns, Uncle Buck’s Catering & Co. will issue a refund to the customer.
4. Travel and Mileage
-
Food Truck Travel Fees: For food truck events, a mileage fee of $2.75 per mile will be applied for any travel exceeding a 25-mile round trip from our Webster location.
5. Service Charges and Gratuities
We believe in straightforward pricing. No automatic service charges or gratuities are added to your invoice. While gratuities for our hardworking staff are deeply appreciated for exceptional service, they are left entirely to the customer's discretion.
6. Food Allergies and Dietary Restrictions
It is the customer’s responsibility to inform us in writing of any food allergies, intolerances, or dietary restrictions prior to the event.
-
Notification Required: Customers must clearly communicate any allergy or dietary needs during the booking process.
-
No Guarantee: While we make every effort to accommodate requests and avoid cross-contact, Uncle Buck’s Catering & Co. cannot guarantee a completely allergen-free environment.
-
Customer Liability: Uncle Buck’s Catering & Co. is not liable for any allergic reactions, illnesses, or medical issues resulting from undisclosed or unknown allergies and dietary restrictions.
-
Guest Communication: It is the customer’s responsibility to provide accurate information, notify all event guests of potential allergen risks, and understand that we cannot ensure the complete absence of allergens.
7. Property Access, Setup, and Damage Risk
It is the customer’s responsibility to plan ahead and ensure safe and appropriate access for our team, providing a suitable parking and setup area for our catering vehicles and/or trailers.
-
Parking Location: Customers must designate an appropriate space (driveway, paved surface, or other stable area) for our vehicles and equipment.
-
Food Truck Utilities: Our food truck is fully self-sustaining. We do not require access to your power or water lines. We simply require a flat, stable surface for parking and service.
-
Risk of Damage: If we are requested or required to park or drive on grass, lawns, or other non-paved areas, you acknowledge the inherent risk of ruts, tire marks, or other damage.
-
No Liability: Uncle Buck’s Catering & Co. is not liable for any damage to lawns, landscaping, driveways, sidewalks, or property surfaces resulting from vehicle access, parking, or setup.
8. Permitting, Licensing, and Insurance
Uncle Buck’s Catering & Co. maintains all proper documentation. We will provide and handle all required insurance certificates and permits necessary for our food truck or catering team to operate at your event.
9. Trash and Cleanup
Clients are responsible for working directly with their chosen venue to determine the rules and responsibilities for garbage removal. Uncle Buck’s Catering & Co. is not responsible for hauling away event trash; it must be disposed of in the venue's designated receptacles.
10. Equipment Return Policy
It is the customer’s responsibility to return all borrowed catering equipment within the agreed-upon timeframe.
-
Equipment Covered: This includes, but is not limited to, chafing dishes (non-disposable), high-end serving utensils, and Cambro heating boxes.
-
Return Deadline: All equipment must be returned within 48 hours of your event unless other arrangements are made in advance.
-
Condition of Return: Items should be returned in the same condition in which they were provided, normal wear and tear excepted.
-
Additional Charges: Failure to return equipment within 48 hours may result in additional charges, replacement fees, or loss of deposit. It is the customer’s responsibility to plan for the timely return of all rental items to avoid extra fees.
11. Indemnification and Liability Limits
The customer assumes full responsibility for the safety of their guests, property, and event environment. It is the customer’s responsibility to ensure their event location is safe, properly insured, and suitable for hosting catering services.
